Uptime Technologies consists of a skilled team of specialists in the Information Technology field, who have been working hand in hand with our clients for nearly 20 years. Even before the “Cloud” was called the cloud, Uptime was providing Hosted Offsite IT services for our clients; we were collaborating with clients on the most complex IT issues of the day.
We started in the year 2000 when talk about the Y2K bug had business owners in a panic thinking their systems would crash and operations would be interrupted because computers would not be able to distinguish the next century. Back then, we worked with our clients through the problem and today, we do the same no matter what the challenge. Leading the team are President & CTO JB Slater and Vice-President and Senior Engineer, Wayne Grizzle, and Administration Manager, Carolina Leones.
JB SLATER, PRESIDENT & CTO
The last thing I thought I would be doing when I graduated with an Undergraduate Bachelors of Business Administration degree with a major in Economics would be to run an IT service company. But after receiving my Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) and working for a Fortune 500 corporation on an Information Systems Re-engineering project of all the manufacturing, distribution, and sales IT processes I returned to graduate school and earned a Post Graduate Masters Certification in Management Information Systems, as the emerging IT field consumed my interest and became my passion.
Before opening Uptime Technologies, I worked for a Miami based Internet, Telecommunications and Networking Service Company. However, entrepreneurial drove me to start Uptime Technologies.
Putting all my skill sets together and seeing the growing need for SMB computer networking support, I started Uptime Technologies in 2000. Our company’s success is based on our integrity and our ability to apply the best technology tools and applications specific for each client that supports their operations, customer service, marketing and sales initiatives so they can achieve their profit, sales and customer service goals.
WAYNE GRIZZLE, VICE-PRESIDENT & SENIOR ENGINEER
When it comes to all things computer, Wayne Grizzle is our go to man. Wayne is our Vice-President and Senior Engineer and has been associated with the company since it was founded. He started part-time and then came on full time in 2005. He specializes in Windows Server/Network management receiving his first Microsoft certification in 1999. He also specializes in firewall, router, VPN, disaster recovery, and mail server configuration and troubleshooting. Wayne is very detail oriented and brings a very strong customer first approach to everything he does. His honesty, integrity, and clear communication about technical issues helps our customers understand their systems and feel confident about their technical decisions.
CAROLINA LEONES, ADMINISTRATION MANAGER
Our backbone is Carolina Leones. Carolina started in 2005 as well and has been managing our administrative services ever since. She specializes in our bookkeeping, reporting services, and customer billing support. There is no task she cannot accomplish. She is excellent in getting questions answered for our clients quickly and thoroughly.
